The five phases

What hour 16 actually means

The same phases the app shows, with their hour marks and their limits. Every phase is named on the free plan, and every one is explained here. Read them hour by hour.

  1. 0hBlood sugar settlesDigestion finishes; most notice nothing
  2. 4hStored glucose declinesHunger comes in waves
  3. 8hFat burningMore fuel drawn from stored fat
  4. 14hKetosisKetone use increases; onset varies widely

Hour marks are what studies commonly report, not a schedule your body follows.

The whole app, in eight screens

  • The home screen at 11 hours 10 minutes into a 16:8 fast, in the fat burning phase, with water, mood, journal and breaks-it shortcuts.

    Fasting timer that respects you

Hours, phase, time left. No feed, no ads.

  • The phase sheet for fat burning, phase 3 of 5, from 8 to 14 hours: what is understood, what people commonly report, and what it is not.

    Know the phase you’re in

Named, timed, sourced. Not a promise.

  • The plans screen: a 16:8 routine on five days a week, the daily plans from 12:12 to 20:4, OMAD, and the extended plans from 24 hours.

    16:8, OMAD, 72 h, yours

Routines that fit real weeks, with a reminder before each.

  • Does this break my fast? Drinks in three tiers: keeps a fast intact, depends on why you are fasting, and breaks a fast.

    Does this break my fast?

Three honest tiers, including the grey one.

  • A journal entry written ten hours into a fast, with the mood set to Great.

    Private journal, never shared

Notes and mood, kept with each fast.

  • Insights for the last 30 days: 28 fasts, a 17.6-hour average, 93% on target, duration by day, mood while fasting and a calendar of fasting activity.

    Fastrackie Plus

    See your pattern

Trends across every fast, not only the last 30 days.

  • History, with a 9 hour 40 minute fast marked Ended early among completed 16:8 fasts.

    Ending early isn’t failure

A short fast is recorded as it happened.

  • The plan page: the free plan described, and Plus at $9.99 a month, $59.99 a year or $99 once.

    The timer is always free

Plus adds long fasts, the full guide and trends.

What isn’t in it

It tracks the clock and stops there

Every fasting app adds things. This one keeps them out, so the screen you open mid-fast shows the fast and nothing else.

  • Meal plans
  • Calorie or macro counting
  • Workouts
  • BMI or body-fat estimates

Questions

Before you install

Is Fastrackie on iPhone?

Not yet — it is coming to the App Store. Today Fastrackie is Android-only, on Google Play.

Do I need an account?

Yes: an email address or Google sign-in. Your fasts are saved to your account so they survive a new phone, and you can export or delete everything from inside the app at any time, on the free plan.

What happens at 24 hours on the free plan?

Free fasts can be set up to 24 hours, and every phase begins by hour 18. Longer and open fasts are part of Plus. A fast that is already running is never cut short: it keeps going and is recorded in full.

Why are there no recipes or calorie counting?

Because you are fasting. Fastrackie tracks the clock and stops there: no meal plans, no macros, no workouts, no feed and no ads.

Is this medical advice?

No. Fastrackie is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Fasting is not suitable for everyone — including during pregnancy, with a history of eating disorders, or alongside some medication. Talk to a clinician first.

How do I reach a person?
